Сбросить пасмперс можно войдя в сервисное меню принтера. Для входа в сервисный режим:
1. Выключить принтер.
2. Нажать и удерживая кнопку RESUME, включить принтер кнопкой POWER и удерживать ее.
3. Отпустить кнопку RESUME, а затем нажать и отпустить кнопку RESUME еще 2 раза. (кнопку POWER все еще нужно удерживать нажатой).Все. Теперь Вы в сервисном режиме.
Нажимая кнопку RESUME определенное количество раз, можно выбрать необходимое действие:
(например если нажать кнопку RESUME 4 раза - будет произведен сброс счетчика отработанных чернил - "памперса")
1 нажатие - service/factory test printout, including ink sensor check
2 нажатия - EEPROM info printout
3 нажатия - EEPROM initialization
4 нажатия - Clear the waste-ink counter
5 нажатий - Printer model setting. (more selections beyond this- leave this alone)
После выбора нужной операции необходимо нажать кнопку POWER для завершения действия.
После повторного нажатия кнопки POWER принтер выключится и будет готов к новому включению с уже измененными настройками.
Если печатающая головка принтера вышла из строя, то в сервисном режиме индикатор будет все время мигать и сброс памперса не поможет решить эту проблему.

Оригинальные и поддельные картриджи
В настоящее время на рынке расходных материалов появилась лавина картриджей, поддельных под оригинал. Что из себя представляет подделка? В двух словах: отмытый химией старый картридж, заправленный тонером, и упакованный в новую коробку. На примере картриджа CANON E-30 для аппаратов серии FC/PC мы покажем примерную себестоимость этого картриджа у производителя подделок:
1. Скупка картриджей у населения. Цена картриджа ~ 200 рублей (~7,2 $). Цены, которые указаны в прайс-листе, фирмы скупающей картриджи несколько завышены и конечная цена зависит от состояния картриджа. И если сотрудник, скупающий картриджи, найдет хоть одну черточку или точку на фотобарабане этого картриджа цена опустится значительно. Поэтому мы берем среднюю цену
2. Далее следует процесс разборки и отмывки картриджа, полировки фотобарабана. Себестоимость данного процесса составляет не более 100 рублей (~3,5 $).
3. Следующая стадия это заправка картриджа и его сборка. Этот этап обходится в 150 рублей (~5,5 $).
4. И последний этап это упаковка картриджа в пластиковый пакет, фиксирующие картонные распорки и полноцветную коробку. Цена процесса и материалов тоже не превышает 100 рублей (~3,5 $)
Таким образом, себестоимость картриджа CANON E-30 (FC/PC) составляет не более 25$ (с учетом амортизации оборудования и других расходов при хорошем потоке производства).
Розничная цена данного картриджа 105$. Как правило, поддельные картриджи продаются естественно по более низкой, привлекательной цене ~85-95 $. Из этого следует, что данный бизнес приносит такой фирме до 250 % прибыли.
Теперь Вы имеете представление о том насколько, Вы, как покупатель расходных материалов, можете быть обмануты.
Какие выходы из данной ситуации? Выходов всего три:
1. Покупка оригинальных картриджей только в серьезных фирмах и магазинах, где цена картриджа будет, безусловно, выше на 10-15% (120$)
2. Покупка совместимого картриджа. Совместимый картридж это такой же старый картридж, заправленный и восстановленный, но продающийся в отличной от оригинала коробке и по более низкой цене (80$).
3. Заправка Вашего картриджа. Эта процедура продлит жизнь картриджа, никаким образом не повлияет на работу аппарата и принесет Вам серьезную экономию (23$ с выездом мастера). Качество бумаги - чем лучше бумага, тем дольше служит фотобарабан
Плотность бумаги - чем плотнее бумага, тем больше воздействие на фотобарабан и тем меньше служит фотобарабан
Покрытие бумаги - как правило, глянцевая бумага не подходит для печати с совместимым фотобарабаном. Тонер просто плохо "держится" на этой бумаге и налипает на фотобарабан, от чего тот загрязняется. Проблему можно решить постоянной чисткой фотобарабана.
Интенсивность печати - чем интенсивнее используется картридж, тем быстрее изнашивается фотобарабан
Использование стикеров - стикеры создают излишнюю нагрузку на фотобарабан, надо использовать специальные стикеры для лазерной печати.
Использование фирменных бланков - многие фирмы используют фирменные бланки (отпечатанные на цветном принтере или в типографии) - так же, как и стикер, создают дополнительную нагрузку на фотобарабан, тем более что дополнительная нагрузка приходится постоянно на одни и те же области фотобарабана.
Использование "обороток" (листов чистых с одной стороны) - лист проходит по фотобарабану своей использованной стороной, от чего барабан быстрее изнашивается
Культура пользователя - надо следить за принтером, вовремя проводить чистку и профилактику, не нагружать больше заявленной производельности.
